Unity in the Body

Thanks to Alan Knox, I was able to read an incredibly thought-provoking post on unity today.  This is something I long to see in Boone, too.  Do you long to see this where you are?  I hope to blog on it later, but since I only have about 15 minutes before the next music jury I have to accompany, it will have to wait.  In the meantime, go check out the post!

    Steve,
Personally, I do drive a Mazda.

Alan, hmmmmmm, since I drive a Dodge, I’m not sure we can fellowship with each other after all… ;)

    Hi
I am very new to your site and I cannot figure out the significance as to what kind of car you drive has any relevance. I am sure it is a joke, but I don’t get it.

Bill, you are right that it is a joke. If you read the article that I linked to, you’ll notice a statement near the end of it that says this:

The flame we will share will transcend the old distinctions and become the blazing mortar that seals the living stones together. I mean, you can be a Lutheran or whatever. But that is an afterthought. Like “I drive a Mazda.”

That’s all we were joking around about. Besides, Alan started it! ;)

Welcome to the blog, by the way!

    steve :)
