…and all I can say is, you had to be there! I wanted to write a post about it, but I have no words. It was just awesome. Raborn, Erica, Lisa, David, Freida, Tom, and of course my lovely wife, Christy, I love you all, and am so blessed to fellowship with you. Thank you all (and thank You, Lord!) for an amazing time of sharing Christ with each other.

Gosh, Steve … you’re making us wish we lived up there so that we could fellowship with you all on a regular basis!
Thanks for always sharing with us!
~Heather
Heather, come on up!
Steve,
That is what church is supposed to be like…
We can come up whenever it’s good for you guys. It would be a blessing.
Thanks for sharing, I needed to be hear that there is a place where the church is actually functioning as the body of Christ.
Be blessed…
Brandon
Brandon, I want to be careful not to “oversell” what we have going on here. We’re all seeking together, and are long on questions but short on answers. We still have a long way to go, but are looking forward to what lies ahead.
You and Heather are in an interesting place right now, and I want to encourage you as much as possible. But please don’t get the impression that we’re much farther down the road than you are, if at all.
If you and Heather ever wanna just talk or whatever, drop me an email and we’ll hook up on the phone or through email. And of course I mean it when I say you are more than welcome to come up and visit. We would love to meet you all.
Your brother in Christ and companion on the journey,
steve
Steve,
I rejoice with you about what God is doing in your midst! It is always beautiful (even if not always pleasant or pretty) when the body of Christ functions as such. I have also had experiences of gathering with the church when the Spirit has made himself known in a special way.
I understand Brandon and Heather’s desire to be part of your group. I have noticed a God-given yearning in their lives for a true spiritual community. I also appreciate your call to be careful. You group is a community because you have worked through difficult times together and because you know one another. Someone else could sit in the same group and get nothing – or almost nothing – because of the lack of relationship with the others in the group.
Thus, for people who know one another, a “question” can sometimes mean more than an “answer”. A “question” can sometimes build up someone toward maturity in Christ more than an “answer”. But, for someone without that intimate relationship, the “question” becomes just another question.
I hope I am not rambling too much. Besides reinforcing what you said to Brandon and Heather, I also hope that I can encourage them to seek real relationships with other brothers and sisters. It will mean working through those difficult times. But, the result can be beautiful in spite of the pain it takes to get there.

Let me throw in my 2 cents to encourage Heather and Brandon to visit you, Steve…there is no way you can possibly convey via words what the Spirit of the Lord is doing in your midst(I wouldn’t think much of it if you could:))..this life is something that must be experienced…they don’t have to move in…just come and see…being in your midst, fellowshipping with you as a group will do them a world of good. Salt..you’re being salt…
just my 2 cents
